CONSOLIDATING INTELLECTUAL CAPITAL: REGIONAL MINING SOLUTIONS TRAINING  

In the period from April 23 to April 25, 2024, a milestone event was held at Borusan Cat Kazakhstan that marked a new stage in the development of the company and mining industry in the region. For the first time in its long history the company became a training and experience sharing platform for Cat® dealers – Regional Mining Solutions Training. 

The event held at Karaganda Component Rebuild Center was attended by the dealers from Cat® dealer network from different countries including Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Ukraine and by Caterpillar® company’s delegation from India, Switzerland, UAE, The Great Britain and the Republic of South Africa.    

The purpose of Regional Mining Solutions Training was to support professional development of Cat® dealers, create a common knowledge and experience sharing platform and demonstrate innovative solutions developed by Caterpillar company for reduction of costs and enhancement of effectiveness of mining enterprises.

The event’s program comprised highly topical issues in the modern mining industry including the following:

• Leading edge technologies developed by Caterpillar company: the guests had an opportunity to have a look at the latest technologies used in production of Cat machines and equipment and to learn about the advantages and innovative solutions offered by the company;    
• Technical maintenance and repair: Caterpillar company’s experienced specialists conducted practical training in Cat equipment technical maintenance and repair and demonstrated the best practices and the newest operating procedures;
• Production management: the guests attended trainings and shared experience in production processes management and optimization of mining enterprises’ effectiveness and production performance;
• Labour safety: special attention was paid to workplace safety and labour protection in performance of works using Cat equipment.

Regional Mining Solutions Training was not just a knowledge and experience sharing platform but also an important step in development of partnership relations between Caterpillar company and its dealers.   

The guests emphasized high level event management and usefulness of the knowledge gained. They expressed confidence that the experience gained would help to improve their work and to achieve new heights of success in mining industry.
