STRENGTHENING THE LEADING EDGE: TRAINING OF THE COMPANY’S MANAGERS AT KIMEP UNIVERSITY

For over ten years Borusan Cat Kazakhstan company has been working actively on improvement of the qualifications of its employees and managers. An important milestone in this process was the company's cooperation with KIMEP University started in 2013. Thanks to signed agreement, the managers of the company’s departments have the opportunity to undergo training under Mini MBA program developed to prepare world class managers. KIMEP University and its Executive Education Center in Almaty provide a reliable educational platform where students acquire high quality knowledge, are involved in experience sharing process and expand their network of business contacts.    

On May 17, 2024, the XIth Mini MBA graduation ceremony was held for the students who studied during academic year 2023-24. In this year 18 employees of Borusan Cat Kazakhstan company completed the program successfully and received certificates recognized by European agencies. The training program consisting of 12 modules took a year and a half and was aimed at detailed study of many managerial disciplines. The program included subjects such as personnel management, motivation and delegation, negotiation strategy, microeconomics and macroeconomics, and financial management. Training in each module was conducted by specialists with extensive practical experience. This allowed students to learn the subject immersing themselves deeply in the topical issues and modern approaches.            

One of the main advantages of Mini MBA program is development of cross-functional and team work skills which is important for big companies operating at the international level. Students not only acquired knowledge in the educational process, they also shared their professional experience with teachers and colleagues, which also helped to understand the material better. 

Upon completion of the course each student passed exam where his/her knowledge was assessed and received Mini MBA certificate. Completion of the program marks a new stage in the company's development, because the employees who completed the course are ready to introduce modern approaches and apply the acquired skills in practice. We believe that the knowledge acquired under Mini MBA program will help to optimize business processes, increase team efficiency and achieve new goals.
