CONTRIBUTION TO DEVELOPMENT OF FUTURE SPECIALISTS BY REPAIRING AND DECORATING CLASSROM AT K.I. SATPAYEV UNIVERSITY

In the first quarter of 2024 the Training and Development Department of Borusan Cat Kazakhstan was assigned with a task of participating in preparations for the anniversary of one of the largest technical universities in the country located in Almaty – K.I. Satpayev Kazakh National Research Technical University.   

This university has rich history and specializes in training of mining industry specialists, which is in line with the company’s activity profile. By agreement between the General Director of Borusan Cat Kazakhstan and the university’s management the company had an opportunity to decorate one of classrooms in the company’s corporate style.  

Borusan Cat Kazakhstan team visited the university where it could select one of several offered classrooms. After detailed examination the specialists selected the most suitable classroom that required complete renovation. It was necessary to renovate completely the room built in 1980-s including repair of floors, replacement of windows, attachment of plasterboard to the walls and installation of modern interior design elements.    

There was developed project involving installation of comfort tables for students and chairs for conducting conferences. After approval of the project repair works were started: new electric cables laying, floors construction, modern windows installation and renovation of all the finishing details. The works were performed quickly and by the second quarter repair was completed.    

Upon completion of construction works the classroom was equipped with up-to-date training equipment. As a part of corporate support program Borusan Cat Kazakhstan company presented a set of equipment to the university for free including a computer, a printer and an interactive whiteboard with touch screen functions. This whiteboard is equipped with operating system and special interactive tools such as electronic pencils and pointers allowing teachers and students to interact in real time: to draw, to upload documents, to use Internet and to demonstrate materials for everyone in the classroom.      

Upon completion of installation of equipment the company also decorated the classroom and adjacent corridor with posters in the company’s corporate style. The posters demonstrate innovative solutions and machines offered by Borusan Cat Kazakhstan company for mining industry such as loaders, bulldozers, graders and other technologically advanced machines.  

The University’s management welcomed the company’s representatives with warmth at all the stages of the project implementation. Upon completion of the project the management expressed official gratitude for contribution to preparation of the classroom for the anniversary.  It was also noted that information about Borusan Cat Kazakhstan company would be included in the university’s information materials devoted to the anniversary.    

The university also offered to use the renovated classroom for educational activities organized by the company and for training the company’s Customers, which emphasizes the importance and fruitfulness of cooperation between academic community and business.    

In this way Borusan Cat Kazakhstan company not only contributed to development of the university’s infrastructure but also strengthened its partnership relations with the university and prepared up-to-date training facility for the future generation of mining industry specialists.
